Yes, 2.1rc1 from http://www.openwengo.org/ actually works more or less
(talked to 333, sent an SMS to myself).

If 2.1 cannot be included in Edgy, this version should be removed from
universe, IMHO. Hopefully, 2.1 will be released soon.

I'm sorry but isn't openwengo to 2.0 final, now? I can't understand why
we're using rc5

No, there is not going to be an Openwengo 2.0 (final). See
http://www.mail-archive.com/wengophone-devel@lists.openwengo.com/msg03691.html
The package maintainer is going to use 2.1.
So the next wengophone upload will be the 2.1 version on
experimental.

The version you get in Openwengo site is really good for daily use. I
recommend it as workaround, since i use it myself on Edgy.
Any version compiled by anyone is not going to be that good'. Openwengo
and GCC 4.1 known issues, QT 4.2 issues, CMAKE migration, etc.

We can find in http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=405439
that the maintainer is saying openwengo rc 5 is not ready for
deployment.
