Thanks John Nelson (jpnels2), that finially did it. I had enabled
legacy full screen support and the bar wasstill there, legacy full
screen support alone did not work. However once setting my GUI Height

As it turns out, the work-arounds for earlier versions of Ubuntu apply
to mythfrontend when running on Natty, as well. Two things must be done
to get full-screen mythtv working when Unity 3D is running. First, as
in Bug # 34934, the option "legacy fullscreen support" has to be
enabled in the "Wor
This is a long standing issue with MythTV and compiz (the window manager
used when unity-3d is running).

I have the same issue when running the 3D version of Unity. It doesn't
happen on the 2D version of Unity.
