Public bug reported: Binary package hint: overlay-scrollbar
When viewing document with a large amount pages (E.g try this one: http://design.canonical.com/wp- content/uploads/2010/06/EmpathyChat_CanonicalDesignResearch2.pdf ). The Scroller is reduced to a very small and thin orange bar/strip. When you are at page 70, for example, of that large document the Scroller is not very easy to find (especially on a maximised window). This is a usability issue as traditional thick scrollbars are much easier to find when the document is large. This could be easily fixed by invoking some action when the pointer is moved toward the right edge of the scrollable window. There could be an animation where the orange bit would light up with a yellow glow or flash to draw its attention to the user. This animation would also draw attention to the fact that the window is scrollable because as it stands, some users new users may be confused by the new scrollbars. ** Affects: overlay-scrollbar (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/763247 Title: Overlay ScrollBar not easily findable in a large document -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
