Same here: crashes every time I try to start up. It worked fine up until
now, but now the only way to connect to Wireless is via command line,
which is very annoying.

@Brian and all,

One temporary work around until Feisty goes GA is to find
no patch or workaround for Edgy? We just have to live with it or
upgrade?

One temporary work around until Feisty goes GA is to find what file is
causing the problem (in my case it was /etc/hosts but Stuart Bishop
That bug has been fixed to feisty now

I haven't had a chance to redo the valgrind yet, but I did track down
the cause of the crash to my /etc/interfaces file. I'm attaching it
(passwords X'd out).

Thank you for the work on that. Could you get an another valgrind log
with G_SLICE=always-malloc G_DEBUG=gc-friendly sudo valgrind network-
admin?

The bug also occurs with
gnome-system-tools_2.15.5-0ubuntu4_i386.deb and
system-tools-backends_1.9.7-0ubuntu4_all.deb
And downgrading further to 2.15.5-0ubuntu2, and installing the debug
symbols, I get the following trace (I'll attach the valgrind log shortly):
Distribution: Ubuntu 6.10 (edgy)

I don't think this ever happened with the version in edgy, although I
can't work out how to cleanly install the old package to confirm 100%.

You can download the deb from
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/g/gnome-system-tools/ and
install it with sudo dpkg -i package.deb

Thank you for your bug. The crash looks weird. The -dbgsym is not
installable because there is no dbgsym built for edgy-proposed, if you
have the problem with the version of edgy could you install it and the
dbgsym and get a valgrind log (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind)?
