Hi Samantha and thanks for your bug report. I have the same problem here
on the x100e (see bug 741825) and I believe it is related to the AMD/ATI
southbridge. So far I've been unable to solve it, it might be a chipset
bug.

@David Henningsson: I don't believe our computers have the same
southbridge, though. My understanding is that the E-350 processors were
rolled out with Hudson D1 southbridges which would have been different
from what was used with Neo processors found in X100e's.
That being said, I will wait
Please do, and it would also be interesting to see if recording stops
working at that point as well.

I can give you a conclusive answer with regards to 11.04 when I break it
but my 10.10 install with a custom-rolled ALSA install, which also
suffered this particular grievance, did break the recording as well.
