Hmm odd things happen here all the time it seems ... After the boot
process the first login results in very odd experiences, X crashes after
some minutes (see my report: bug 765136), no nameserver settings in
resolv.conf etc. The interesting part, that logging in second time,
fixes these problems,
Well, you shouldn't see this error in NM -- the file was renamed but for
something NM knows about.
Maybe try to remove resolvconf if you don't need it, or reinstall it?

Hmm, by checking /var/log/daemon.log file, I see lines like:
Apr 17 15:28:35 oxygene NetworkManager[1076] get unmanaged
devices count: 0
Apr 17 15:28:35 oxygene NetworkManager[1076]: Error parsing file
'/etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf': No such file or directory

Hmm, I have no file named /etc/resolvconf/run/interface/NetworkManager ...
(the directory
/etc/resolvconf/run/interface exists though). /etc/resolv.conf is a symlink to
file /etc/resolvconf/run/resolv.conf and that file only contains the comment
lines, but not even a single "nameserver" line.
This appears to be an issue with resolvconf: reassigning to the correct
package.
Could you please confirm that
/etc/resolvconf/run/interface/NetworkManager is written correctly with
the expected data, that /etc/resolvconf/run/resolv.conf also is and that
/etc/resolv.conf is correctly a symlink to
My /etc/resolv.conf file (note, the nameserver line is written by me to
be able to resolve names and report this bug, it was empty not counting
the comments):
# Dynamic resolv.conf(5) file for glibc resolver(3) generated by resolvconf(8)
# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE BY HAND -- YOUR CHANGES WILL BE
