On Karmic I don't even see the above warning and I can't reproduce the

On hardy there no longer seems to be crash but instead the following is printed
by at the console:

Still here on Gutsy. I had to tweak the steps a little bit to turn off
apport ( /etc/init.d/apport stop ) and also setting ulimit -c 1000 on
the terminal used in step 4 but a core was generated after about 15
runs.

Still seeing this in Feisty (Herd 5). The problem is I don't know where
to get debug symbols for Feisty libpng12...

I am also seeing the following from time to time:
$ while true; do gnome-video-thumbnailer -s 128 moveyourfeet.mov o; done
