As I said, I tested this in a natty virtual machine and it started up
fine... did you try removing that folder above? And then what are the
errors you get now?

I've installed new system (Natty). And pitivi crashes anyway. Strace
shows a lot of strings so I can't figure out the interesting ones.

your config folder by running
rm -R /home/skymanroot/.config/pitivi
?
