In Ubuntu 12.04 I have the same problem, I managed to stabilize for two
or three seciones through train, close it and re-call

Some under 11.10. Renders cellwriter quite useless since without
training, no characters are recognized at all. I found no way to backup
the training data to restore it if it's lost, beecause it seems that
cellwriter doesn't save the training data in /home/user/.cellwriter, and
i couln't find any o
