Posting from phone, excuse brevity. Reproduced with classic desktop and
got stack t trace with gdb. Not unity bug. Will update title tonight.
Bug is in exa accel of damageText(). See attached info files.

As the name says the driver is experimental, iirc even the upstream
developers say that if things are broken please don't report bugs(that
was a while ago, not sure about the current situation). I have added
mesa to the affects as the experimental 3d support resides in there.
