Ok, thanks for following up; closing bug out.
(Probably it didn't notice there was an update for nvidia that it needed
to proceed with the xserver upgrade)

package xserver-xorg-core 2:1.9.0-0ubuntu7.3 failed to
install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: installing xserver-xorg-core would

This problem happened because I chose NO, do not connect to the
internet during installation, I believe.
