Strange... I would say that it's not shown because is not there :) the
new code should fix completely the focus thing (when is shown and the
window is focused, it *should* be orange)

Was waiting for 12 to hit proposed to d. check vs. 10 +commit.
I'd say very, very good now, still not 100% for some reason, more like around
85% of the time

Your right - if I look at the area where it should be 'visible' when
clicking out to remove focus can see it flash for a moment.
Also - if i was to open evolution 10 times it may work as expected a
couple of times, though don't see any pattern to this at all.

the pager is visible, it's just in the "inactive" state.

Sorry, the !st screen posted was the wrong one, deleted. Please refer to
the one in post 6 for an examle of the 'missing' pager.
Am doing a fresh install tonight from todays iso to d. check, though
this is seen on 2 different installs

finally - after moving focus off of the window pager shows up in bottom
section
Note that if the message was 'long' enough' the bottom horizontal pager
will show from the beginning, it's only the vertical one that seems to
be an issue - see screen 4
