"There are no artificial intelligences in use" would sound better - but
artificial intelligence still sounds strange as a plural.
"No games are in progress" would work - unless there are two player
games.

Hi! This has now been fixed in CVS.
The new error message became "No artificial intelligence is enabled in
the current game".
