you had connectivity issue to geoip.ubuntu.com or ntp.ubuntu.com.
The installer that will be shipped in the next daily builds (if not
already in the current ones) simply skips that part of the process if
internet connectivity is

The same with me here. I think it's may be caused by time server unaccessible
(the firewall/filter?).

Having the same problem when installing 11.04 on Virtual Box. Install
hangs (copying of files stops) at timezone window. Turbo's hack worked
after random clicking on the map the installer eventually selected the
desired time zone and continued.
Any comments from Ubuntu on this?

Hi,
A new discovery! Today I tried again but this time DISCONECTING THE
NETWORK, and voila!. It let me choose the right TimeZone and carry on
with the installing process. In any case is still a problem because the
installer is not suppoused to wait forever in that place.
