Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.20
My computer (a Fujitsu-Siemens AmiloPro 3505) used to shutdown sometimes when
there was any longer GPU activity. I'm using Beryl, and that means this bug
hits me very often. All I had to do to trigger it was just to grab some window
and move it around for >15seconds or so and about 1 in 5 times my laptop would
just shut down itself without any warning.
Removing iTCO_wdt and iTCO_vendor_support kernel modules stopped this issue, so
I blame the watchdog.
