I can confirm this while upgrading from Maverick to Natty (on 4/28/2011). Compiz (and compiz-plugins, IIRC) was previously uninstalled from my two Maverick boxes long before the upgrade. I ran 'update-manager -d' to perform an in-place upgrade to Natty. Compiz (nor compiz-plugins or compiz-plugin
