Hi piovisqui,
same error occured on my fresh&clean installation of
Kubuntu11.04-Desktop (32-bit)
There seem to be 2 workarounds to tackle this problem
1. Start Kubuntu once with an empty session.
2. Uninstall "kde-config-touchpad" (since i use a desktop & have no
plans to get a touchpad for it,

upgrade tro natty installed kde-config-synaptiks on my desktop
I have the same problem here. I'm running ubuntu11.04 and my touchpad
works, but the functions like scrolling vert / horz or multitouch (two
fingers) doesn't work

Ubuntu bug says synaptiks it's not installed! The actually package is
kde-config-touchpad. But the software is synaptiks.
