Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: vlc

I am not sure whether this has anything to do with Vlc player since in
Ubuntu the mouse cursor does seem to behave a little funny at the left
and right edges of the screen, meaning at the left the cursor goes a
little off the screen (like 2 pixels) and at the right it doesn't point
the arrow to the last pixel line, but maybe 2 pixels to the left, as if
the whole cursor map of the screen is moved 2 pixels to the left of the
actual desktop pixel map. Could this behavior change how the Vlc player
interprets position of the cursor and make it not think it should hide
the cursor?
