Public bug reported: My box is a Lenovo T400 (4 GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 3400). After I upgraded from 10.10 to 11.04 via Update Manager, gnome-terminals undergo a corruption when being redrawn under certain cirumstances. The system is fully patched. I use Gnome 2.32.1 with Metacity.
In workspace 1 Firefox is open, in workspace 2 are several xterms (created with "gnome-terminal --geometry=100x40"). In one of these xterms vi is running. When I switch from workspace 1 to 2 with Crt-Alt-Arrow, the content of the xterm with vi is sometimes not redrawn correctly. In these cases it contains the stuff of the Firefox window of this screen position. I need to move the faulty xtrem just by one pixel, and everything is redrawn correctly. This is not exactly reproducible, it simply happens from time to time. I still try to find a pattern for this behaviour. lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 11.04 Release: 11.04 apt-cache policy gnome-terminal gnome-terminal: Installed: 2.32.1-0ubuntu3 Candidate: 2.32.1-0ubuntu3 Version table: *** 2.32.1-0ubuntu3 0 500 http://ch.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Please let me know if you need more detailed information. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/774795 Title: gnome-terminal corruption when switching workspaces -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
