I've just upgraded from 10.10 to 11.04 and I now experience this
problem. My root partition is encrypted. Under 10.10, the cryptsetup
password prompt was displayed, now I just get a blank screen with no
indication of what's required. Blindly typing the password works, but
is less than ideal parti
I confirm that this issue occurs on a freshly installed Ubuntu *as well
as* when using the proprietary driver by NVidia. What I used to do until
I found out about blindly typing in the LUKS passphrase was to reboot by
pressing Cntrl+Alt+Del. Surprisingly, the password prompt was then being
displaye
I was redirected here from #717938 which seems to be the same(?) or a
similar bug, but on Intel hardware.
I can confirm that there is no "Enter your password" screen visible on
my 64bit Natty using the Nvidia binary driver, whereas it works as
expected on my 32bit netbook without any additional dr
