Binary package hint: compiz
I experienced very heavy tearing during video playback with nvidia
driver. I tryed every workaround (xv sync to vblank in nvidia-setting,
sync to vblank in compizconfig, some enviromental variables, setting of
output in compizconfig general options) but doesn't work. The same
workarounds worked fine in ludic.
