I upgraded from Maverick to Natty and then the mouse wouldn't click. It
wasn't frozen, I could move the pointer, but none of my clicks
registered. In the login screen I selected the
Done. I am still experiencing this in 11.10. Unity-2D runs fine, but
the regular Unity still has this problem.

Thank you for the information, Dmitry. This raises two questions for me:
1) Why is it blacklisted and is there anything I can do about it? and
2) Why doesn't Ubuntu come up and tell me that's the problem and save me
(and others) a lot of bother?

I have a similar problem. I can log in (classic with effects), but after
working for a while, the mouse behaves strangely:
* I cannot focus any window
* the cursor does not change on hover, always stays at the same state (for
example the text-selector)
