U45 is just not supported by the kernel. nether the console or the PCI
chipset.

I was able to gather some information from another user installing on
U45. There are at least 2 bugs.
The kernel doesn't support the U45 framebuffer console, so forcepromconsole is
required to see stuff and USB keyboard/mouse are not detected probably because
the PCI-ID's are new or the chipset

also.. please try to boot with:
boot net0:192.168.2.60 -p forcepromconsole
if the new images don't work as they should. the option forcepromconsole
forces generic console code that's known to be slower but it should
print some more.
