Ubuntu 11.04 blank screen on boot

Christopher M. Penalver, I don't know if the bug I reported is still valid as I
no longer use the computer which had the problem. I upgraded to a newer

activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please provide information following

Well, I am definitely glad I decided to report this bug as it seems very

I would like to thank everyone for contributing to my bug report. As I
originally stated, apparently I am not the only one to be suffering from the

I seem to have fixed the boot problem! It was something to do with the
ATI graphics driver. Still not happy with 11.04 version though it seems
very slow, to be honest I am booting using the option to run in classic

Sorry I forgot to add my hardware information which may shed some light
on the issue. I have an AMD Fusion E-350-powered Thinkpad X120e, which
has a Radeon HD 6310 graphics chip. I did not install the closed-source
driver, so Radeon is the driver being used.
