Thanks for the bug report. I am not able to reproduce the issue in
Ubuntu 12.04 beta could you please test with that version of Ubuntu and

I just noticed that .docx files open in the same workspace. All other
file types—.odt and .doc—open in a different workspace.
Not sure if that's helpful...

Renaming the .libreoffice dir as said on my previous post does solve the
problem, but the bug is still there, since after renaming / deleting the
.libreoffice directory it did happen again to me again opening to an
different workspace, also when you delete the .libreoffice directory you
are in fact
When I had one document open and went to open another, it would open in
a different workspace. I even saw it open the first file to a different
workspace than the current one.
Renaming the .libreoffice config dir, as instructed above, fixed the
problem.

Solution, rename in your home directory ".libreoffice" to another name
".libreoffice.original" open a writter document this will make a new
".libreoffice" directory but this time opens the document in the same
workspace.

yavoh, I've noticed this also in non-Unity gnome shell. Your
reproduction method did not produce the problem. However, I tried
opening two Writer files simultaneously via the Terminal on Desk 1:
lowriter -nologo example.odt example1.odt
both opened on Desk 2.

Tried these Compiz tweaks - still didn't fix the problem. If Calc opens
in a maximised Window it opens in another Workspace.
