I'm using Ubunut under VMware Fusion on a Mac machine.
In Fusion currently there is no way to have 3d acceleration for Linux machines.
So, this shortcuts are not working for all of us who are using Ubuntu under
VMware Fusion.

Same problem, window management (ctrl-alt-numpad#) works in Unity 3D but does
not work in Unity 2D.
Potential ctrl-alt-shift-numlock solution didn't work.
Numpad otherwise operates as it should (i.e. it is not a mouse as far as I can
see - don't know how to properly
Just an unrelated note for those who found this page because ctrl-alt-
numpad isn't working for them in unity-3d: There's a good chance your
numpad has been turned into a mouse via an accessibility feature. Press
ctrl-alt-shift-numlock to turn that off.
