It is not working even for disks that i formatted as UDF on the same box.
I am using Xubuntu 64-bit 8.04.1 . Maybe It would be nice for someone to report
that
it is actually working for him.
I tried to setup packet-writing with no luck again.
I even got to the situation where it is writing on
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

CD with UDFS aren't
I use Xubuntu 8.04 64-bit and I have a number of UDF-formatted DVD+RW disks
that I can`t read or write to in Xubuntu. Since version 6.10.
They are just laying around, waiting for someone to fix this UDF behavior.

You received
Xubuntu doesn't use Nautilus, which suggests the issue is lower down
(perhaps kernel related?) Can you mount the disk manually? If so, does
ls list the contents of the volume?

The UDF CD were made with Roxio on Windows by somebody else.
I guess the packages udftools provides what is needed to make CDs with
UDF FS.

Marking unconfirmed and low importance, that looks like a corner case.
Would be nice if somebody having a such CD and getting the problem could
forward upstream if they have no bug about it already

The CD apparently is an ISO/UDF disk.
The ISO structures contain Windows driver.
This bug is rather a feature.
However the default should be to try to mount UDF, then ISO. Currently it is
the opposite.
