Hi,
Is it still reproducible on recent ubuntu releases?
Can you run "gvfs-mount -o" and "udevadm monitor --udev --property" in two
terminals before inserting the device, so we can see which events happen at
insertion time?

I can confirm that thunar continuously spawns new windows when the usb
drive is inserted
