Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity
I may be wrong that it's unity-bug, but it seems to me, that it's unity- or GTK-bug. 0. Send some link to someone in messenger (for example in skype) 1. Run your default browser and maximize it (for example chromium) [! It should be configured as the default browser in your system] 2. Minimize browser to unity panel 3. Run gedit and maximize it 4. Minimize gedit to unity panel 5. Go to skype and click the link 6. You should see the effect as in attach image (strange space at the top of browser window). This happens not only with chromium. Set some another browser as default and you see so effect too. More than that, I see so bug not only for browser... I see that in another applications. but I was able to repeat it (with so strange way) only with help of skype, gedit and chromium :-D ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: unity 3.8.12-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-8.42-generic 2.6.38.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: [core, bailer, detection, composite, opengl, decor, mousepoll, vpswitch, regex, animation, snap, expo, move, compiztoolbox, place, grid, imgpng, gnomecompat, wall, ezoom, workarounds, staticswitcher, resize, fade, unitymtgrabhandles, scale, session, unityshell] Date: Tue May 10 17:49:08 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Release amd64 (20110427.1) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=ru_RU:en LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: unity UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug natty running-unity unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/780550 Title: Incorrect display of applications on call from another application -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
