Public bug reported: Themes with (thicker) window decoration/bezel around the window dodge the launcher even when they shouldn't and clearly don't have to.
To reproduce: Change theme to e.g. Clearlooks On an empty desktop open e.g. Terminal. The default placement rule puts the window into the left upper corner, next to the launcher. However because the Clearlooks unlike Ambiance has a thicker window border it overlaps slightly into the area of the launcher (2 px or something). The launcher dodges the newly created window. Expected result: Changing the theme shouldn't affect placement of windows and default behavior of the launcher. ** Affects: unity Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/781774 Title: launcher dodge and non-default themes -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
