I have the same bug, totem runs well for awhile then randomly crashes
then has this issue of not playing any videos. I tried using VLC and
Banshee but they crash too. Just a note: The programs will start up...
the crash occurs when you try to play the video again. gdb in

I just noticed the gdb I posted in my attachment had useless information
due to user-error so I deleted it to prevent confusion. when this bug
happens again, (and it will) I'll post 2 gdb, one for the initial crash
and one for how it behaves post crash.

Hi all,
Got fed up and reinstalled 11.04 Natty and guess what?... Yep, it kept
on crashing again. It didn't matter what application I used. Be it
VLC, Banshee, Totem whatever.
Got fed up with that so reinstalled 10.10 Maverick and guess what?...

I had a look at #743323 and your right, I'm certainly not alone. I'll
have a look into Xvideo and report back once I've finished.

Are you just logged out?
I have a similar problem. Vlc suddenly uses 100% of the CPU and my
System crashes totaly. I am working on a eeePC 1000H and my system is
also just upgraded from 10.10 to 11.04.

If both VLC _and_ Totem crashes, then it's most certainly a bug in the
X11 server. Perhaps XVideo is broken or something.
