Marco Presi, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu
better. This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue?

Same here on a Latitude 2100 with Intel iwlagn (5300).
Switching WLAN on and off via network menu works.
Using Fn-F5 once switches off. Using Fn-F5 again makes the light come on
again for half a second and then switch off again.
Only reboot solves the problem.

Same issue with a clean install of 11.04 on a Dell Inspiron 1521 except
the wireless network card won't come on at all and the switch only
returns the can't emulate rawmode for keycode 240 error. I'm only able
to use the wired port. The BIOS allows the switch to control a single or
multiple
Have the same problem accept it crashed my computer, logged me out and
then presented me with the login. it's happening about once a day very
annoying :s
