(gosh - just realized that log was 3 MB long.) Here is the interesting
part:
dh_strip --exclude=usr/lib/xorg/modules
find debian/xserver-xorg-core/usr/lib/xorg/modules -name lib*.so | \
xargs --no-run-if-empty \
strip --strip-debug --remove-section=.note
This can be seen in this build log. (search for strip towards the
end).
