This does affect me. I managed to fix it pretty simply by symlinking py- modindex.html to modindex.html. e.g., sudo ln -s /usr/share/doc/python2.7/html/py-modindex.html /usr/share/doc/python2.7/html/modindex.html . I got the idea from
