With the Huawei E220 USB modem and when the Indicator Applet Complete
0.4.12 says:
"GSM network
Disconnected - you are now offline"
Sometimes a restart is required/needed to get online. I'm using Sabily
11.04 Badr 32-bit which is based on Ubuntu 11.04.

The attached logs unfortunately don't quite say enough. Was this system
booted with the USB modem plugged in? It's also not usual that modems
fall in a weird state after losing connections.
For now, I'm reassigning this to 'modemmanager' which is the correct
package for handling most modem-related
