The description of "dark, muddy colours" sounds similar to bug 378068.
Perhaps both bugs share a common cause.

Plz move to package foomatic or close this bug, because proprietary

I have a workaround for broken foomatic printerdriver in Ubuntu 13.10:
As of release Version 1.00.06 for the samsung provided driver for Linux my
printer CLX-3175FN is fully supported.
the driver provided by samsung here, now works fine for printing and scanning!

I have no solution to this proposal yet. But there is one resource
covering Samsung MFP: http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Samsung-Laserdrucker
I will try this one with next release of saucy salamander.

Thanks Pascal,
directory icm did not exists. I created it and run the command. Now the two
files are in it:
- samclp300-0.icm
- samclp315-argyll-0.icm
The test page before and after I restarted cups are the same color.
How can I test the color profiles I have installed now?
** Changed in: foo2
Do you have any color profile installed for your printer under
/usr/share/foo2qpdl/icm ?
Please run the following command on a terminal to install them:
sudo getweb 3175
** Package changed: cups (Ubuntu) => foo2zjs (Ubuntu)
