I found a possible reason of the problem. Installed Ubuntu 11.04 with an other monitor, installation w/o problems. Text mode okay, X okay. Changed monitor (moved the computer to my normal workplace), booted and saw an error message of my monitor saying "Frequency out of range". Heard hard disc ac
