I don't have access to the hardware any longer, so cannot continue to
test with latest natty updates. I would vote for closing the bug
nevertheless and re-open it, if needed.

Suspend/resume with the proposed kernel works as well, but only tested
twice. Great work, thanks.

OK, so it's worth trying out the natty -proposed kernel without my debug

I suspect commit 7bdc8a75790424dc526ff2616c625b340546ea75 may be fixing
things. I will rebuild w/o my debug patch to sanity check this.

I reverted 99video to use acpi_flag again, and suspend/resume works fine
with your debugging kernel. I will run another set of 20 cycles with
fwts now.

So, the RTC Magic debug is rather random, so we cannot deduce if a
particular driver is causing the breakage.
Now revert the sysctl in the pm-suspend scripts and re-test. If this
works then I assume that the latest proposed natty kernel has some fixes
that resolve the bug.

With the line in 99video changed, the caps lock key flashes 3 times AND
the system resumes from suspend. I'll try it some more to be certain.

Here are some 5 more magic numbers. I'll try the other kernel next.
dmesg-a-1.txt:[1.823212] Magic number: 11:449:983
dmesg-a-1.txt-[1.823233] wmi PNP0C14:00: hash matches

dmesg-a-1
Also, after step #4 above, install the appropriate 32 or 64 bit kernels
from: http://zinc.canonical.com/~cking/lp-788539
Then, with sudo, edit /usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/99video and in function
suspend_video() replace:
sysctl -w kernel.acpi_video_flags=$acpi_flag
with
sysctl -w kernel.acpi_video
Here are 4 results, only match was acpi device:0a:, though not sure how
that relates and if it is not random.
$ grep -A 4 Magic dmesg*
dmesg2.txt:[1.815079] Magic number: 11:72:124

dmesg2.
Hi Torsten, care to re-do the S3 RTC debug a few more times and update
the bug with the magic number and a couple of lines in the kernel log
that come after the magic number output too. Thanks.
