It seems, at least in my case, that the problem depends on whether I run GDM or LightDM but also if I use autologin or not. In my previous comment I ran LightDM and manual login. After some tests between GDM/LightDM and auto/manual login it seems that autologin works better for both DMs concerni

This bug still exists in glib2.0 version 2.29.6-0ubuntu1 and causes freezing at logout, reboot and shutdown. Furthermore, no network access, neither wired nor wireless works. Downgrade to version 2.28.6-0ubuntu1 is a workaround. There seems to be a misconfiguration in the package creating an /etc/
