This happens on my system as well with any document. I frequently leave
my laptop suspended with whatever I was working on open. The next day I
always have to close all of my documents and reopen them to make Writer
usable again.

I had two documents open over the past night, I created both about the
same time around 11pm according to the file's modified timestamp. One
had about 3 pages of text, the other had three words.
Today at 1:22, the first and larger document exhibited the usual

I just noticed that the jumping up and down when scrolling, as described
above (starting point to 'destination' and back), also occurs without
the 50% cpu load: it is because the text cursor is still inside a
comment in the word document. This restricts Libreoffice to leave that
page somehow. The
