Public bug reported: Running various KDE apps (e.g., okular, kate) from the console prints the following debug output:
QInotifyFileSystemWatcherEngine::addPaths: inotify_add_watch failed: No such file or directory QFileSystemWatcher: failed to add paths: /home/cubranic/.config/ibus/bus I found online a mention that this is caused by not having a running ibus daemon (http://www.qtforum.org/article/32669 /qinotifyfilesystemwatcherengine-addpaths-inotify-add-watch-failed-ibus- daemon.html). I have ibus-qt4 installed, but no other ibus-related packages, so it looks like a dependency is missing or didn't get installed by mistake. Also, I didn't change the default settings for IM, and have no need for ibus as I'm only using a regular US keyboard and english locale. If there is a way to turn off and uninstall the whole ibus thing, please let me know. ** Affects: ibus-qt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/797466 Title: Unwanted debugging output printed to the console To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ibus-qt/+bug/797466/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
