Rather than build from master yourself, you can try with the latest
release. Just grab the Oneiric package and see that if your problem
persists with it.

There have been some changes to DKMS in master with how the make command
is invoked (among other things). Can you please see if the empty logs
problem is happening with your package and master still?

The problem I am experiencing is that dkms build logs are empty.
I know why oss4 fails to build and found two reasons for it to fail, and
since the build command is printed it is possible to run it outside of
dkms and see the errors.
Still they are not in the dkms log which is then useless.
