Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
PC is a Dell XPS4600 Pentium 4 with a Seagate 160 GB SATA drive. Installation is from 11.04 32 bit live CD. Installation fails when configuring boot loader. Message "cannot install boot loader to /dev/sda" and asks me to select another location. I tried other partitions on drive and received same message. As requested I am attaching syslog and partman files. I installed 10.04 successfully then tried 11.04 again. Same error. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/799227 Title: unable to install boot loader To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/799227/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
