Title:
I guess that this is something that is wanted. You have to hit the
left edge to show the panel, otherwise that could be considered as a
fine mouse movement on the left side.
Maybe we could add an higher timeout in the case that we're on the 1px
before showing the panel.

I removed the screenshot attached because it had a few no so friendly
words written and was not showing the bug neither. and your video was
