The default icon theme is now Humanity and with the release of 0.5.1 , we have
added several MIME specific icons.

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. Unfortunately a paper
cut should be a small usability issue that affects many people and is
quick and easy to fix. I'm afraid this bug can't be addressed as part of
this project.

I have running Hardy here (not from the LiveCD but installed...) and
there are still no icons for shared libraries and C/C++ files still look
exactly the same as text files.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the
development release - Hardy Heron. It would help us greatly if you could
test with it so we can work
