The Samba4 daemon is configured to put the winbind pipes in /var/run
someplace, instead of in /tmp/wbind, so everything involving those
pipes fails, from "/usr/local/samba/bin/wbinfo -p" onwards.

The winbind client library should be the same in samba 3 and samba 4, so
I don't see how the patch is problematic. The workaround shouldn't be
necessary.
