I have the same issue in 11.04. When run from the command line, it
gives the following error:
(mail-notification:2977): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon
'evolution' for stock: Icon 'evolution' not present in theme
(mail-notification:2977): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref:
