No pauses with cairo-dock -c. After that test, an updated kernel was
released and I upgraded yesterday. With linux-image-2.6.38-10-generic,
the issue seems to have gone away.
glxinfo | grep OpenGL gives:
OpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
OpenGL renderer string: ION/PCI/SSE2
OpenGL version
Strange...
But if you still have this problem, please re-open this bug report!

This is strange but it's maybe due to your video card and its drivers...
Can you try to use the dock without the OpenGL backend? (cairo-dock -c)
Which drivers do you use? Can you post the output of this command: glxinfo
|grep OpenGL (mesa-utils package
