Public bug reported: The unity support from the launcher with the download progress is quite slick, especially the ability to just right click on the launcher and select "Check for Updates".
However when I do this from the quicklist the normal update-manager progress bar window pops up on the desktop. It'd be slicker instead if when I choose to update from a quicklist that the launcher icon progress bar kicks in instead of popping up a new main window on the desktop that I need to minimize. ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Wishlist Status: New ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Wishlist -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/811372 Title: Checking for updates from a quicklist shouldn't spawn a new window To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/811372/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
