I got bitten by this bug, but only just now with Intrepid; it wasn't a problem in Hardy, Gutsy, etc. More curious still is that an Ubuntu Live CD displays the splash fine... yet an install does not. But test adding vga=791 to the boot parameter of the installed system does get a display going (a

Apparently, I have the same issue on an Intrepid ibex beta : During boot, my monitor displays the message (translated from french) "Frequency too high". Note that this happens only on the version installed on the hdd, not with the live cd (downloaded about three or four days ago). My monitor is
